Adventures For Connection with

Tanja Powell & Musical Breathwork

May this offer a guiding light on complicated paths.

It's the first time I said these thing aloud.

If you want the origin of this work, it’s here. This was my first podcast appearance, and I remember feeling it in my body before we even started. Nervous, a little exposed, and not entirely sure where Tanya was going to take the conversation. She asked questions I wasn’t prepared for—about my life, not just the work—and I didn’t have time to filter it. I just answered.

We traced the path from music to golf to building a health center, but what came through more honestly than usual was the disruption. Losing five friends in five weeks. The moment the trajectory I thought I wanted no longer made sense. That was the real turning point. The work I teach now—breath, fascia, coherence—didn’t come from theory. It came from trying to understand why people stay stuck in stress, and what actually shifts it. When those pieces came together, I saw something deeper: the body has to come with the mind, or you don’t go very far. This conversation is less polished, more real.

We discussed:

  • Brooke’s background
  • The Bio-mechanical perspective
  • Why we are built to breathe through the nose and the role of tongue placement
  • The Fibonacci Wave
  • Understanding Gamma Brain Waves and the limits of the standard American brain
  • Why cellulite is actually just fascial adhesions
  • Practice

For those who prefer a visual experience, the conversation is available on YouTube. As always, the audio version streams wild and free on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed our talk. Be mighty!
