Robert Steinbacher
EPISODE #24

On Death, Leadership, and Longevity with

Robert Steinbacher

Discover how holding your own frequency can guide leadership, movement, and meaning in a chaotic world.

Robert Steinbacher is one of those rare people whose presence expands the more you spend time with him.

Robert and I met through the fascia and movement world, but he is far more than a movement teacher. He is a global builder, creator, and connector — the founder of the Body Art training system that has reached tens of thousands of instructors across more than 25 countries. You may also recognize the purple stone I wear almost every day; it’s part of a custom piece Robert made for me from his own jewelry line. In this conversation we go deep into the philosophy that shaped his life: the role of breath in movement, the early resistance he faced when he began teaching barefoot and fascia-based training decades ago, and the deeper spiritual framework that guides his work today. Robert also shares extraordinary stories from his unusual path — from arriving in New York at 15 with almost nothing, to developing Body Art, to his work as what some call a “death angel,” helping people transition at the end of life. This episode is about authenticity, leadership, and learning to hold your own frequency in a chaotic world. Robert is a reminder that strength, presence, and compassion can coexist in one human life.
